About Steve & Tammy
All relationships are faced with challenges. From the moment we are conceived, we are developing skills to either have healthy, whole relationships, or dysfunctional, unhealthy ones. No matter how much we try to avoid it, we are created for interaction with humanity on so many levels. But what do you do when you don't have the tools or the foundational knowhow to operate in daily life with the people you come in contact with? How do you have a decent conversation with your parent or child without it leading to an argument, defuse conflict within your marriage, co-parent with someone whom you've had a relational breakdown with, raise emotionally healthy children, or simply interact with the nosey neighbor next door?
For years Steven and Tamara Conway have been wanting to create something useful, productive and accessible for singles, married couples, dating couples, divorced, blended families, and those simply looking for answers regarding how to have healthy, joy filled and God centered relationships with others. Wanting to develop STAMENA (and yes we know it's spelled wrong, but stick with us for a moment to find out why) to go the distance. They know all to well the fundamental challenges of trying to make it work, as they both came from beginnings that were broken, which didn't necessarily prepare them for the journey of marriage and raising children. As a result, their first few years of marriage were extremely hard. They also watched many marriages fall apart all around them. They knew if they wanted to sure up their own marriage, they needed tools.
In their over 18 years of marriage and raising children, Steven & Tamara, have been blessed to be exposed to amazing couples who have shared personal struggles, growth, materials, workshops, books and most of all God's word. These valuable tools have provided them a springboard to develop their own presentations, videos and materials that they have used to help them in times of need. As a result, they pour into other couples, hoping to help sure up their foundation, as well as repair and rebuild the broken ones.
They decided to step out on faith and take the years of materials, content and discussions they've had and put them on a platform that would be accessible to a broader audience. Thus the STAMENA4Life website, which is a blending of their names or what today is called a portmanteau, was developed. Stamina is foundational for any relationship to work, and this website's purpose is to encourage and provide tools to assist growth in 4 areas of daily life; personal, interpersonal, marriage & family, and spiritual maturity. Tamara has also launched a Podcast, "At The Well", where broader discussions and insights are had, as well as testimonies and stories to inspire.
It is their prayer that you would not only be blessed to continue to grow, but that you would be inspired to pour into others lives and break the generational cycles of dysfunction, brokenness, and rebuild the image of God in families, one person, one family, and one community at a time.
